Transmutation: it is a term used by alchemists to describe the operation through which lead ,or other metals can be transformed into gold. Here, a simple medium, iron filings  collected on the floor of a factory, are left to oxidate then pressed into handmade abaca paper, taking on a precious appearance. The abaca paper, which I made from the pulp of mulberry tree bark, become a background to expressive lines made with Sumi-e ink.
